When walking in darkness, rather than bearing on another's burdens, we instead tend to compare them. In doing this, we are acting and projecting false righteousness. It is only by walking in the light that we know we are all guilty while being made righteous through Christ. In the second sermon of his series entitled Blessed Assurance, Pastor Jared speaks of Jesus as our advocate and the propitiation for our sins; the satisfier of God's judgement. As Christians, we must love one another. We're made in the image of a loving God, and complete love only comes from God through His Son. If we do not love, then we do not know God and His love does not dwell in us. In the ninth sermon of Pastor Jared's series entitled Blessed Assurance, we learn all humans have some capacity to love and that this is the common grace of God. All of scripture hinges on this love. He references 1 John 4:7-10. |

We love because God first loved us, and we love with the love God has lavishly shed in our hearts. If this love in us is fearless, then why do we fear to love and share the gospel? If we love one another, then God's love is perfected in us, and we reveal Him to the world. In the tenth sermon of his series entitled Blessed Assurance, Pastor Jared discusses this love, referencing 1 John 4:11-21. |
